How does it work?
The Beauty-Mist formula is Aloe Vera based and contains 8% of the active ingredient DHA (dihydroxyacetone). DHA reacts with amino acids in the outer layers of the skin, causing it to darken naturally over a period of 24 hours. This formula also contains a water soluble instant bronzer to ensure an even application of DHA. The instant bronzer will give you an instant tan effect and can be washed off after 8 hours, as by then, the DHA will have absorbed into the skin's surface.
Will it fade?
Yes, just like a sun tan, your Beauty-Mist tan will begin to fade after a few days, unlike the cancer causing affects of the suns rays and sun lamps that last forever.
How long does it last?
The Beauty-Mist Airbrush Tan will last up to six days and can be reapplied as often as required. A full body application takes just 15 minutes to apply and 5 minutes to dry. The result is the most natural looking tan you will get without any of the dangers associated with UV light. This formula also contains skin conditioners and moisturizers for glorious results every time.
Is it safe?
DHA is a natural ingredient derived from sugar cane! It is FDA approved for cosmetic use and has no known side effects. The Beauty-Mist Formula also contains polymer technology to ensure the perfect adhesion and absorption rates for fantastic, streak free, results.
Before an application.
For best results, shower before each application. Use an exfoliating gel or lotion when showering and be sure to remove any moisturizer, deodorant, perfume etc. as they will change the PH of your skin and may cause streaking. Apply some moisturizer to your palms, elbows, knees and shins just before applying the solution. Moisturizer acts as a blocker to the DHA and will result in a more natural tan in these areas. Remove all jewelry to prevent 'shadows'.
During an application.
Hold the arms out away from the body until the solution has fully dried. DHA only reacts with the skin and therefore you need not worry about getting it on your hair, nails etc. Ensure that you do not perspire during the application as this may prevent the solution from absorbing evenly into the skin.
After an application.
Wear loose fitting cotton clothing. DHA takes 8 hours to fully absorb into the skin. It is essential that you keep completely dry for this period. Avoid any activity that may cause you to perspire. The instant bronzer may be washed off after 8 hours as by then the DHA tan will have begun to develop. The DHA tan takes 24 hours to fully develop and will last up to six days. Moisturize daily to keep your tan looking its very best. The instant bronzer may rub off on clothes but it is water soluble and washes out of most fabrics except silk and some types of nylon.
